Tonatiuh Gold Cabinet, Two Doors

A two-door cabinet whose case and door faces are covered in gold leaf with a hand-worked surface treatment referencing the Aztec sun deity Tonatiuh. The name grounds the piece in its material and cultural source; the execution is restrained and contemporary in scale.
