Interior Design
A room should feel like a delicious embrace.
That was the principle Soraya learned from her mentor, interior designer Marylee Singer, over thirty years of friendship. It became the standard behind everything Cayen Home does — and the reason we take on only a limited number of projects each year. Every room we build receives the same unbroken attention, from the first conversation to the last installation. That is not a policy. It is the only way we know how to work.

the eye
Thirty years of knowing what belongs.
Before Cayen Home, there was The Cayen Collection — one of America's most recognized fine jewelry salons, built on Soraya Cayen's ability to find the one right jewel among thousands. That skill — the instinct for what belongs and the discipline to reject what almost does — is the same one she brings to every room.
A stone dealer's eye trained on colored gemstones. A quarter century of placing jewelry in the hands of clients who do not accept second-best. And now, that same conviction applied to the furniture, the fabrics, the light, the walls, and the silence of a finished room.

how we work
We begin with your room, not our inventory.
Every engagement starts with a conversation about how you actually live — the light in the morning, the way the room gets used, what has been bothering you for years without a name. We listen before we source, and we source only what belongs.
Most rooms are assembled. Ours are built — slowly, deliberately, one decision at a time, until nothing in the space feels like it arrived from somewhere else. The furniture, the light, the walls, the way a curtain falls — every element is specified, sourced, and overseen by the same eye that chose it.
"Seven months later we had a home we barely recognized — in the best way. Every single person who walks in asks who did it."— A client, Pebble Beach
"I've worked with designers before. This was the first time the process actually felt effortless."— A client, Dallas
"Every designer before showed us luxury or comfort. Soraya and her team gave us both — in a way we couldn't have imagined asking for. She understood our home before we did."— A client, Carmel
If you have been thinking about a room — even one you cannot quite describe yet — we would like to hear about it.
