The Sardanapalus Convex Mirror

Mark Evans's Sardanapalus convex mirror — Sardanapalus, the Assyrian king of legend, whose story Delacroix painted in the most opulent of Romantic canvases. The frame Evans has built around this name is its visual equivalent: dramatic, abundant, the convex glass giving back a view of the room from a considered remove.
