Blue aventurine is a form of quartz with a dense inclusion of fuchsite mica — the deep blue-green color and the glittering aventurescence particular to this mineral, unreproducible in dyed stone or glass. Turned to a sphere, the stone's schiller reads across the entire surface as the piece rotates through light. Each sphere is individual to its specimen. Priced according to size and depth of color.
